Every month, German EVE Online blogs have a theme that you can write about. This month, it’s about the people who had a big influence on ourselves. However, they have not only become influencers, but also good friends…
Of course, at this point the answer would be a bit too easy if I were to simply write eXeler0n from quafe.de here out of full conviction. And that wouldn’t be quite right either. But admittedly, he is a constant in my EVE Online life and without him everything would have been different. Completely different. The best thing to do is to read what he writes about me on quafe.de. I thought it was very nice and would like to leave it just like that. Just like that, because even immortal capsule pilots have feelings.
If I continue to think about who has influenced me, then at this point there must be a name that has already appeared several times in this blog, especially at the very beginning. Sadly, Nerewar Dwemor no longer plays EVE Online, his character is in the Doomheim Corporation, but it was because of him that I actually started blogging back then. He convinced me that I must have some stuff to write down, that I can do it quite well and that there are people out there who will want to read it. Thank you for that dear Nerevar Dwemor.
A whole bunch of other people have influenced me in EVE Online and I have to say that I have learned a lot through EVE. HOW the world works out there, or that I am often too naive, or too reserved and cautious.
And of course I am also narcissistic enough to say that I have influenced myself a lot too. The blog I’ve been writing here for 10 years has functioned as real writing therapy on some days. Often I have written things off my chest that have been bothering me around EVE. This has sometimes set off a chain of events, often when I have left my own comfort zone to enter someone else’s and address things that were unpleasant or annoying. I’m sure I’ve stepped on some toes and received nasty emails for some things. Nevertheless, the conviction that some things should be addressed and written about has shaped me over time – a real privilege!
And last but not least. You, the readers, have also influenced me. Especially when after publishing a blog post hours later there were numerous comments or just no comments at all under the post. This rollercoaster alone is something you have to deal with as a blogger and many a time I thought to myself “Oops, was that too much now?” While streamers and Youtube have their likes, subscribers and advertising revenue and get the feedback (the dopamine) immediately, we bloggers have to wait a little longer for our drug. But it kicks in just as well for that.
I still have a few skins left over from the last few months to give away. So just write in the comments who or what has influenced you the most during your time playing EVE Online.

vor rund zehn Jahren habe ich mich entschieden EVE zu spielen. Über die steile Lernkurve muss ich wohl nichts sagen, aber es waren insbesondere die Blogger, die mich auch in schwierigen Zeiten beim Spiel gehalten haben. Sei es mit Tipps für das Spiel selbst oder aber als Einstieg in das Metagaming, das EVE so besonders macht. Tatsächlich gehört dein Blog auch dazu, Jezaja. ^^ Daneben sind aber auch Neovenator (mit dem ich seit Jahren in einer Corp bin), eXeler0n und auch Darkblad zu nennen – jeder hat mich auf seine Weise im Spiel gehalten oder im Spiel irgendwie beeinflusst.
Die “Beeinflussung” hatte und hat aber auch noch Auswirkungen auf mein Leben außerhalb von EVE. Und da würde ich sogar noch Senior GM Huginn von CCP als einen meiner Influerncer hinzufügen.
Mmmh, wenn ich so überlege, würde ich sogar EVE in seiner Gesamtheit als Influencer für mich bezeichnen (geht aber am Thema vielleicht ein wenig vorbei).

Awww, das war schön geschrieben. Mail mit Skin-Code wurde versandt! Viel Spaß damit.
Also besonders beeinflusst haben mich neben den diversen Youtubern auch die Streamer auf Twitch. Das Interesse für PvP war zwar schon relativ früh nach dem Umzug ins 00 da, allerdings haben mich viele Youtuber bei der Wahl der fittings beeinflusst. Viele Schiffe habe ich dadurch lieben gelernt. Auch wurde mir so manche Mechanik vertrauter und es viel mir leichter einfach Mal zu experimentieren. Manche Bereiche (Industrie/Handel) hätte ich mir ohne externen Einfluss nicht näher angesehen und somit einige Chancen auf die schnelle isk verpasst. Zum Beispiel die Tutorials von Oz_eve haben mir sehr geholfen. Im PvP Bereich habe ich die Videos von amelia duskspace oder auraus porcaleus (um nur eine Hand voll zu nennen) förmlich verschlungen.

Ohja, die Videos von Auraus Porcaleus sind richtig cool. Vielleicht dockst Du demnächst mit einer Battle-Procurer ab?
Meine offensichtlichen EVE Influencer waren damals zum Einstieg der Podcast von Kapseltalk.de und danach dann die Blogger-Kollegen, die ich so kennenlernen durfte. Neovenator, Kolkrabe, eXeler0n und natürlich der gute Jezaja mit seinem Blog und auch mit seinen Videos. 🙂
Weniger offensichtlich sind die Menschen in EVE gewesen, die keine Ahnung haben, das sie “influencen”! Die Corp-Kollegen, die jahrelang Seite an Seite durch Asteroiden gestaubsaugt haben oder mit denen man die verrücktesten Schiffskombinationen in Gegner gewelpt hat. :o)
Leider spielen viele von ihnen nicht mehr aktiv, wodurch mir viel Spielspaß verloren gegangen ist.
